About this site

Gift from Kerson Huang (kerson@mit.edu) to Phil, presented in 1972 and accompanied by a Chinese couplet: "Imponderable dust - churning into galaxies; Countless novae - not in the Milky Way."

The character on the seal is “mo” in old-style Chinese. The modern style character is the single character below the seal. It literally means 'ink', and is also the name of the philosopher Mozi, who lived ca. 400 BC.
